Muslim Ummah, especially rulers & people of Islamic countries are guilty of criminal negligence regarding Palestinian issue: Sirajul Haq

ISLAMABAD, Nov 01 (SABAH): Former Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq has said that the cruelty in Palestine has reached at its peak.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing a gathering of remembrance and prayers held in memory of Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad leader Khalid Bhatti on Friday. Apart from others, Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad Emir Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa also addressed the gathering. Jamaat-e-Islami workers, friends and relatives of the deceased and people of the area participated in large numbers.

Sirajul Haq said children and women are being slaughtered in Palestine, adding hundreds of people are being buried in one grave. He noted the number of martyrs is not 42 thousand but many times more than that, adding the bodies of several thousand people are still buried under the rubble. The double standard of the United Nations has been exposed regarding the issue, he said and added the Muslim Ummah, especially the rulers and people of Islamic countries are guilty of criminal negligence.

The former emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the huge debts of the IMF have made Pakistan a slave to the big powers which came into being on the name of ideology, is also unable to play its role in relation to Palestine. Sirajul Haq inquired that what will the rulers of Islamic countries answer to Allah Almighty, adding how is the Muslim Ummah carrying out its daily affairs in a normal manner despite such atrocities?

Sirajul Haq said that the Jamaat-e-Islami held large rallies and processions to raise awareness about Palestine. In the capital of ideological Pakistan, Islamabad, intelligent people live in large numbers, they should have a bigger role regarding Gaza, he added.

Paying homage to late Khalid Bhatti, Sirajul Haq said that despite being a top government officer, he spent his entire life as a dynamic worker. He said from the start to the last moment of death, he lived as a man of truth and Allah Almighty’s will. He was a brave and courageous person, not living for life’s sake but spending every moment for the pleasure of Allah.
