Dunya Media Group &Punjab Group Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood elected as PBA Chairman

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (SABAH): Dunya Media Group and Punjab Group Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood has been elected as Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) Chairman.

The annual general body meeting of PBA for 2024-25 was held in Karachi and attended by members from the TV and radio categories.

In the meeting, Mian Amer Mahmood was elected as the PBA chairman.

Dawn News CEO Shakeel Masud was elected as Secretary General, while ARY CEO Salman Iqbal was elected as Senior Vice Chairman.

Geo News CEO Ibrahim Rahman was chosen as Vice Chairman, Aaj TV’s Ahmed Zuberi as Joint Secretary, and KTN’s Akhtar Qazi as Finance Secretary.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly-elected officials of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA).

In his message, the Prime Minister felicitated the newly elected Chairman, Mian Amer Mahmood; Senior Vice Chairman, Salman Iqbal; and Vice Chairman, Mir Ibrahim Rehman.

He also extended his best wishes to other officials, including Secretary General Shakeel Masood, Joint Secretary Ahmed Zubairi, and Finance Secretary Athar Qazi.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that the newly-elected officials would play a key role in addressing the challenges faced by the broadcasting industry and contribute to the growth of the association.

Meanwhile Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association. Mohsin Naqvi extended congratulations to newly elected Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood, Senior Vice Chairman Salman Iqbal, and Vice Chairman Mir Ibrahim Rehman. He also congratulated newly elected Secretary-General Shakeel Masood, Joint Secretary Ahmed Zuberi, and Finance Secretary Athar Qazi.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed good wishes for the newly elected office bearers, hoping that they will fulfill the trust placed in them by the Pakistan Broadcasters Association. He expressed hope that the newly elected office bearers will play their constructive role in resolving the issues of the association.
