We will continue to support Kashmiris until they achieve right of self-determination: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, Oct 27 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has said that we will continue to support Kashmiris until they achieve the right of self-determination.
In a message on the occasion of the 77th Black Day of Jammu and Kashmir, Liaqat Baloch said that on October 27, 1947, against the formula of the partition of India and against the wishes of the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army entered Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it which is why October 27 is the darkest day for the people of Jammu and Kashmir due to this incident.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir have continuously sacrificed every day, every moment and at every stage against the dark night of this occupation by India for the last 77 years, by condemning, resisting and expressing their hatred against this usurping occupation. Due to Muslim hostility, the international organizations have been silent on the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
He said it is also a tragedy that the Muslim World has committed criminal negligence by not playing a bold role to solve this issue. He said we will continue to support Kashmiris until the end of the dark night of oppression on Kashmiris and until they achieve the right of self-determination, adding we are ready for every sacrifice in this regard.
He further said the government of Pakistan should call a national conference on the Kashmir issue without delay and create a national strategy with full determination and unity by eliminating the hesitation, doubts and bargains regarding the Kashmir Liberation Movement.
Liaqat Baloch strongly condemned the attack on Iran by the illegitimate Israeli Zionist state on the America’s will and said that the continuous spreading Israeli aggressive actions are a serious threat to the security of the entire region as it is killing innocent civilians.
He said that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, UAE, Qatar, Jordan and Yemen should immediately convene a summit on the growing threats to the Islamic World and regional peace, in which the foreign ministers and defense ministers of these countries should also participate.
Liaqat Baloch maintained that Jamaat-e-Islami’s position proved correct that the 26th constitutional amendment is a malicious political move and such an amendment will further increase instability. Instead of bringing a new amendment, the government should take the path of withdrawing the 26th constitutional amendment, he urged.
