All roads to peace in South Asia pass through Kashmir: Sehar Kamran

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (SABAH): Pakistan People’s Party leader and Member National Assembly Sehar Kamran has said that all roads to peace in South Asia pass through Kashmir.

In her message on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, Sehar Kamran said that on this day, October 27, the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) mark #BlackDay—a poignant reminder of the unlawful occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces in 1947.

Sehar Kamran said that this day encapsulates decades of human rights violations, repression, and the ongoing struggle for self-determination. She said that the revocation of Articles 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019, aimed to dismantle Kashmir’s special status and forcibly integrate it into the Indian Union, systematically disempowering and disenfranchising the Muslim population through social engineering.

Sehar Kamran said that the Kashmiris bravely continue to resist atrocities, censorship and settler colonialism, striving to raise global awareness and demand the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

She said that it is imperative for the international community to confront this unresolved issue and stand for the just rights of the Kashmiri people.
