Senator Irfan Siddiqui questions PTI’s motives behind Oct 15 D-Chowk protest amid foreign dignitaries’ visit

ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 (SABAH): Parliamentary Party Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Senate and Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee, Senator Irfan Siddiqui has posed two critical questions to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding its call for a protest at D-Chowk on October 15.

In a statement on his social media platform ‘X’ on Saturday, Irfan Siddiqui expressed concern over PTI’s decision to stage protests during the presence of esteemed foreign dignitaries. He questioned the motives behind PTI’s planned protest, which he suggested could lead to unrest, chaos, and incidents of arson.

Senator Siddiqui asked, “Before staging a spectacle at D-Chowk, inciting unrest, and engaging in acts of vandalism, PTI should clarify whether it has any connection or relationship with Pakistan and its people. If such a relationship exists, why is it engaging in actions under the guise of politics that mirror the tactics of anti-state elements who use terrorism as a weapon?”
