Ishaq Dar extends deep gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its support for the conclusion of IMF program

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (SABAH): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has emphasized Pak-Saudi agreements will serve as an enduring testament to the time-tested and fraternal relations between both countries.

Ishaq Dar attended the signing ceremony on Tuesday held for a series of key reconstruction and rehabilitation projects to be undertaken by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). The ceremony was attended by a high-level delegation from KSrelief, led by Engineer Ahmed Ali Abdullah Al-Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General for Operations & Programs, who is currently on a visit to Pakistan.

In his opening remarks Ishaq Dar expressed his gratitude to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support to Pakistan during times of crisis. He praised KSrelief’s vital role in delivering humanitarian assistance, particularly in response to recent natural disasters in Pakistan, including floods and earthquakes. He underscored that these new initiatives will focus on building and rehabilitating essential infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and housing.

Ishaq Dar further noted that the collaboration between KSrelief and Pakistan has intensified over the years, with the humanitarian organization playing a pivotal role in various sectors including healthcare, food aid, and education. He expressed confidence that this new phase of cooperation would further cement the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and ensure that those most in need receive timely and effective support.

The Deputy Prime Minister applauded the reconstruction and rehabilitation projects being undertaken by the King Salman Humanitarian aid and Relief Center in Pakistan.

He extended deep gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its support for the conclusion of IMF program and reconstruction activities following catastrophic floods of 2022.

He said the support of Saudi Arabia will augment Pakistan’s capacity to undertake recovery and rehabilitation in the aftermath of national disasters.
