365 days of Israeli atrocities, Alkhidmat Foundation holds rallies, seminars & other programs across Pak to express solidarity with people of Gaza

LAHORE, Oct 7 (SABAH): On the completion of 365 days of atrocities and brutality in Palestine, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan held rallies, seminars, established Palestine fundraising camp and other programs to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people of Gaza in which aid workers, doctors, teachers and other  martyrs were paid homage.

Central Secretary General Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri while addressing the participants on this occasion said that Alkhidmat Foundation had started the rescue and relief operation for the people of Gaza on the first day of the Israeli aggression, which is ongoing. He said till now relief aid of 2707 ton comprising food packages, beds, blankets, tents, rations, medicines, surgical and medical and other relief items have been provided to Gaza’s brothers and sisters.

The main program of Alkhidmat Foundation was held at Chatri Chowk in which Central Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri, CEO Khubaib Bilal, Director Programs Hamad Akhtar, Director Media and Marketing Umair Idrees, Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi, officials, volunteers, doctors, journalists, civil society members and people belonging to prominent classes of society participated in large number.

Syed Waqas Jafri said that the relief goods are being delivered to Gaza through different routes of Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation also played its role to continue the education of the students of Gaza living in some other countries including Pakistan and provided funds for these students for other needs including scholarships. He said that continuously work is underway for the establishment of Alkhidmat Field Hospital near the border of Gaza or in Gaza for millions of wounded and patients.

He said in Gaza, 42,000 people have been martyred, more than 96 thousand people have been injured, more than 10 thousand people are missing, adding hospitals, educational institutions, mosques and churches are also being attacked. The people of Pakistan will not leave in lurch the innocent children, men, women and elderly people of Gaza, he added.
