Jamaat-e-Islami Gilgit-Baltistan founder Emir Maulana Abdul Mannan passes away
ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (SABAH): Maulana Abdul Mannan, the founder emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Gilgit-Baltistan, has passed away. The funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow, September 24, 2024, after Asr prayer at 4:45 pm at the markaz Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan, near Burma Bridge, Islamabad.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Dr. Mohammad Mushtaq Khan, former Emirs of JI AJK Abdul Rashid Turabi, Sardar Ejaz Afzal Khan, Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Raja Jahangir Khan, leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Gilgit-Baltistan and former caretaker minister GB Mushtaq Advocate expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Maulana Abdul Mannan.
He said that Maulana Abdul Mannan was a famous hero of Gilgit-Baltistan freedom movement. The deceased was the author of many books and a spiritual figure. And along with the acquisition of political rights, he prepared the entire nation for the duty of religious observance.
Maulana Abdul Mannan has rendered significant services for communal harmony in Gilgit-Baltistan. Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami have paid tribute to Maulana Abdul Mannan in wonderful words.
