Through Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship opportunities of higher education are available to thousands of students: Muhammad Abdul Shakoor

RAWALPINDI, Sep 20 (SABAH): Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Muhammad Abdul Shakoor has said that with the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) darkness of ignorance was ended in the world. He said that Rabiul Awwal is observed by Alkhidmat Foundation as practical steps regarding awareness and promotion of education. Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that it is our desire that no child and youth remains deprive from the education in Pakistan. He said that Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship is the important program of Alkhidmat Foundation through which thousands of scholarships are granted to the male and female students for higher education annually. He said that through Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship opportunities of higher education are available to thousands of students. 

This was stated by Muhammad Abdul Shakoor while addressing the General Council meeting of the Alkhidmat Foundation North Punjab. Provincial General Secretary North Punjab Iqbal Khan, Regional President North Punjab Rizwan Ahmad, senior vice president Syed Amjad Hussain Shah and other office bearers were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion after briefing on regional and district level the future plan was formulated. Muhammad Abdul Shakoor while paying tribute on districts performance and mega projects said that office-bearers, donors and volunteers are our asset, due to which the completion of projects worth of billions of rupees becomes possible.

Muhammad Abdul Shakoor said that Alkhidmat is working in fields of education, health, orphan care, disaster management, clean drinking water, social services and mawakhat. He said that only in education sector the working is continued on different fronts. He said that so far Alkhidmat Foundation has provided scholarships to 5,411 students costing Rs 536.1 million. He said that Alkhidmat Bano Qabil project is aimed at changing the lives of hundreds and thousands of youth, adding that through this program youth are being made able to earn livelihood for their families through imparting different skills to them.
