At least 11 Palestinians martyred in the result of Israeli air attack on a school in Gaza

GAZA/LONDON, Sep 02 (SABAH): Atrocities of Israeli forces are continuing in Gaza. At least 11 Palestinians were martyred in the result of the Israeli air attack on the school. Israeli army has claimed that it has targeted the command center of Hamas during attack on the school; however Hamas has rejected the Israeli claim.

According to the spokesperson of the civil defence, one woman and one minor girl were among the 11 persons martyred in the result of Israeli attack on the Safad School, where the homeless Palestinians are staying.

Meanwhile Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has said that criminal terrorist Benjamin Netanyahu and American administration are responsible for continuing the war in Gaza.

According to Information Center Palestine, Hamas spokesperson in a statement said that criminal Netanyahu is responsible for not stopping the Jewish war against the Palestinians from last 11 months. The spokesperson said that Netanyahu is not only responsible for ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians but also responsible for killing of his own prisoners. The spokesperson said that Netanyahu is responsible for the killing of all the Israeli prisoners present in custody of the resistance forces in Gaza, who have been killed in result of the bombardment of Jewish forces.

Meanwhile the United Kingdom says it would suspend 30 out of 350 arms exports licences to Israel, citing a “clear risk” they could be used in a serious breach of international humanitarian law.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy told parliament on Monday the partial ban covered items “which could be used in the current conflict in Gaza” against Hamas but did not include parts for the F-35 fighter jets.

He said the decision to suspend the licences did not amount to a blanket ban or an arms embargo, adding that the UK continues to support Israel’s right to self defence in accordance with international law.

“Facing a conflict such as this, it is this government’s legal duty to review export licences,” Lammy told MPs.

“It is with regret that I inform the House today the assessment I have received leaves me unable to conclude anything other than that, for certain UK arms exports to Israel, there does exist a clear risk.”

Lammy said the outcome of the government’s review did not mean that Israel had broken humanitarian law, saying the UK government “have not and could not” arbitrate on that. “This is a forward looking evaluation, not a determination of innocence or guilt, and it does not prejudge any future determinations by the competent courts,” he said. Lammy said a summary of the government’s assessment would be published.
