Apni Chhat-Apna Ghar Program will be the most grand & low-cost in the country’s history: Maryam Nawaz


LAHORE, Sep 01 (SABAH): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif says government will help low income segments of society in achieving their dream of having their own houses.

Talking to Founder and Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib in Lahore on Sunday, Maryam Nawaz said work on the Low Cost Housing Program has begun in the province, which will be expanded in the coming years.

She said Apni Chhat-Apna Ghar Program will be the most grand and low-cost in the country’s history. She said that in the result of the launch of the revolutionary housing project hundreds and thousands of people will find employment, adding that this will be biggest interest free program of county’s history. Maryam Nawaz said that provision of house to the homeless people is our top priority. She said that under this project people owning 5 marla land in cities and 10 marla land in villages will be able to secure Rs 1.5 million for construction of houses. She said that loan will be paid in form of monthly installment of Rs 14,000 and it will be interest free.

Maryam Nawaz hailed the servives of Akhuwat Foundation under the chairmanship of Dr. Amjad Saqib.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amjad Saqib appreciated the Chief Minister’s passion for solving the public’s problems.
