Sit-in & nationwide strike is a great example of people’s peaceful political, constitutional & democratic struggle: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Aug 31 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that sit-in and nationwide strike is a great example of peaceful political, constitutional and democratic struggle of the people. He said it is the responsibility of the government to implement the agreement struck after the sit-in, adding if the government escapes, it will have to face long strikes, wheel jams and long marches and sit-ins in future protests.

Liaqat Baloch addressed Khatam-e-Nabuwwat conference in Sahiwal and Sargodha, attended the funeral prayer of the late Maulana Qazi Abdul Rasheed at Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi, condoled the death of MPA Rana Afzal Hussain, the brother of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, offered fateha at the death of the mother of PTI MPA Umar Dhilon and held meeting with former governor Punjab and PTI MNA Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa.  

Liaqat Baloch while speaking said that in order to save the country from crises, the implementation of the constitution and the national political leadership must determine the national priorities through the national dialogue. He said the people are practically on the path of revolt, adding the scourge of inflation, unemployment, electricity, taxes and IPPs has become unbearable for the country and the nation. He said the nationwide peaceful strike has warned the government to give relief to the people.

Liaqat Baloch while speaking at the reception of Ahmed Farooq Dhillon in honor of dignitaries in Ahdian Muridke said that the educated section of the country expresses concern and corrects evaluation of the situation. He said that the rich section of the society has made west their living place.

Liaqat Baloch while talking to journalists and answering questions from dignitaries said that the sit-in and nationwide strike are great examples of people’s peaceful political, constitutional and democratic struggle. He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami and the business community under the leadership of Hafiz Naeemur Rehman have warned the government that it is the responsibility of the government to implement the agreement after the sit-in-, adding if the government escapes, it will have to face long strikes, wheel jams and long marches and sit-ins in future protests.
