Kazakhstan reiterates its resolve to extend all out cooperation to Pakistan to meet its growing energy needs
ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (SABAH): Kazakhstan has reiterated its resolve to extend all out cooperation to Pakistan to meet its growing energy needs which is indispensable for economic growth.
The Kazakh Ambassador to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin in an interview with the official media said that said both countries are working to materialize all energy related projects including CASA-1000 and TAPI gas pipeline project.
He said that Pakistan will emerge as hub of economic activities in future after completion of CPEC projects and regional connectivity will expedite trade with Central Asian Republics.
The Kazakh Ambassador said both countries are also working to increase bilateral trade volume which is currently less than one billion dollars and major companies of Kazakhstan are keen to invest in diverse sectors of Pakistan.
He said Kazakhstan appreciates efforts of Pakistan for humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan and we support Islamabad for its stance over political solution to the current crisis in war-torn country.
Yerzhan Kistafin said both countries are keen to increase economic relations including visits of business delegations and people to people contacts.
In reply to a question, the Ambassador said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative of China and Kazakhstan is also member of this project to increase regional trade through better connectivity.
He said Gwadar port has immense potential for trade and Kazakhstan is keen to exploit the port to increase its trade with other countries.
