There will be a successful nationwide shutter down strike on 28th August: Hafiz Naeemur rehman

LAHORE, Aug 26 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that there will be a successful nationwide shutdown strike on 28th August (Wednesday), the rulers will have to reduce the electricity prices, taxes and their privileges.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami women’s district and zonal officials in Mansoorah. Secretary General Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Dr. Humira Tariq, Deputy Secretaries Samina Saeed, Dr. Zubaida Jabeen, Dr. Samiha Raheel Qazi, Nazma Central Punjab Nazia Towheed Sharif and all nazmat of Lahore constituency attended the convention.

In online zoom, Nazima Central Punjab Samina Ehsan, Nazima South Punjab Shazia Sial and other women from all over Pakistan participated.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that he congratulates women for their active participation in sit-in, adding in the nationwide membership campaign starting from September 1, women will also be made members.

He said the role of women is important for the success of the national resistance movement, adding women are half of the country’s population. He said that in the national agenda of Jamaat-e-Islami there are right of inheritance for women and ensuring the education and protection of the girl child is at the top.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami strongly condemned the killing of 23 passengers in the terrorist incident in Musakhel, Balochistan and said that the horrific manner in which the civilians were killed is very painful. It seems to be failing to provide security to the lives and property of the citizens, he noted.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that the mission of the Islamic movement is the same which brought about the great revolution of Islam in a short period of 23 years. He said there will be no prophet after the Holy Prophet (SAWW), it is the duty of the Ummah to raise its voice against oppression and struggle for the implementation of Allah’s system on earth.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman added this is the work of prophethood to preach the religion, adding Jamaat-e-Islami considers politics as worship. He said that Pakistan can be stable only with the supremacy of the constitution and freedom of justice. Jamaat-e-Islami reorganized the “Haq Du Awam Ko” movement to free the people from the domination of feudal lords.
