Govt sending a chartered PIA flight today to Poland for repatriation of students/community from Ukraine


ISLAMABAD, Mar 08 (SABAH): The government of Pakistan is sending a chartered PIA flight to Poland for repatriation of students/community stationed temporarily in Warsaw.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad on Tuesday, there were about 7000 Pakistanis in Ukraine (Community 4000, Students 3000) most of whom had already left Ukraine before 24 February on the advice of the Embassy.

Since 24 February, the Mission evacuated 1525 Pakistanis to neighboring Poland, Romania and Hungary.

Pakistan International Airlines flight will leave today (Wednesday) at 07:15 AM and will return the same day to Islamabad.
