Pak wants to strengthen its relationship with Egypt in various areas of mutual interest, including religious education: Chaudhry Salik
ISLAMABAD, July 23 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain on Tuesday said that Pakistan wants to strengthen its relationship with Egypt in various areas of mutual interest, including religious education.
The minister said this during a meeting with Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan, Dr. Ihab Mohamed Abdelhamid Hassan where the two sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt. Both the dignitaries also discussed to exchange mutual studies in enhancing the Masjid roles as center of religious, spiritual, social guaidance and social services.
The ambassador who called on the federal minister at his office informed him about establishing an institution in Punjab affiliated with Alazhar University to impart religious education. The ambassador said 11 professors of Egypt are already teaching in different faculties in International Islamaic University Islamabad. He also invited the minister to attend a conference on the role of women in building awareness.
