Yousaf Raza Gilani extends his felicitations to newly elected President of Iran Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian & newly elected UK PM Keir Starmer

ISLAMABAD, July 06 (SABAH): Chairman Senate Makhdoom Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended his felicitations to Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected president of Iran.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed hope that Pakistan and Iran’s historic ties would further strengthen under new leadership, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations in promoting regional stability and prosperity.

Both the countries enjoy strong bilateral ties anchored in history, culture and religion, he said. He expressed hope that the newly elected president of Iran will further contribute in cementing the fraternal ties.

Meanwhile Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended felicitations to the newly elected Prime minister of United Kingdom Keir Starmer and expressed well wishes to the elected leadership. This, the chairman senate said, reflects the trust of the people.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with Great Britain and the relationship between the two will get stronger in times to come. Transfer of power from one elected government to another is a manifestation of people’s trust in democracy and the parliamentary form of government as a pancea to all the challenges.
