Ignoring the national opinion always ends badly: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, July 01 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that bulldozing everything and ignoring the national opinion always ends badly. He said making the environment conducive for national dialogue is responsibility of the government. He said the people have rejected the national budget.
Liaqat Baloch said in a consultative meeting in Mansoorah and in a meeting with delegations from central, northern and southern Punjab that whenever democratic political governments ignore the parliament and the national political leadership and make decisions with the power of civil-military then they are fed up and disgraced.
Liaqat Baloch said for national security, political stability and economically stability, sustainable system, the political, democratic forces have to hold a national dialogue and have no choice but to agree on at least an agenda for a sustainable political parliamentary democratic system. He said sooner or later after the crisis most national political leadership will have to adopt political democratic national attitudes. He said stubbornness, obstinacy and egoism will totally give loss to political leadership itself, the establishment will become more powerful, the temperature of public anxiety will go to extremes.
Liaqat Baloch said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his supporters President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto should know well that the people have rejected the national budget. He said the economic crisis is getting worse, adding Operation Azam-e-Istehkam is not acceptable to the people. He said 25 crore people are supporters of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project and want stable relations and lasting friendship with Afghanistan and Iran.
Liaqat Baloch said the coalition government’s direction is wrong, adding bulldozing and ignoring national opinion always ends badly, it is the responsibility of the government to create an environment conducive for national dialogue. He said since 2008, the ongoing clash between political forces has become a security risk for national security, the government should make a serious effort for political national dialogue based on national priorities instead of lust for power.
