Participants of Save Gaza Campaign end sit-in at D-Chowk Islamabad after 41-days after successful negotiations with Mohsin Naqvi
ISLAMABAD, June 22 (SABAH): The participants of the Save Gaza Campaign announced the end of 41-days long sit-in continued at at D-Chowk Islamabad after successful negotiations with Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
According to the statement issued by the interior ministry, the Save Gaza Campaign participants announced to end the sit-in in result of special efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The participants of the Save Gaza Campaign headed by former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday.
Talking to participants of the Save Gaza campaign, the Minister said every Pakistani keeps similar feelings for Palestine and we have no objection to any of their demands.
He said Pakistan is already playing a full role in this regard and we will also work on the implementation of recommendations made by Save Gaza campaign.
The Minister said we pray for the participants who lost their lives in an unfortunate incident during the sit-in and justice will surely be given to the victims. Interior Secretary Khurram Ali Agha, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Chauhdry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and DIG Operations Ali Raza also attended the meeting.
While talking to “SABAH” former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said that we have reached agreement with the government, our demands have been accepted and we are ending the sit-in.
