Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam congratulates Pak on its election as a member to the UNSC for the term of 2025-2026


ISLAMABAD, June 07 (SABAH): Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam has congratulated Pakistan on its election as a member to the United Nation Security Council, this time for the term of 2025-2026.

In a statement issued on social media on Friday Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam wrote “Happy to extend my sincere greetings to the government and people of Pakistan for the octave historical achievement of election as a member to the United Nation Security Council, this time for the term of 2025-2026”.

The Iranian ambassador said that Iran and Pakistan have an exemplary cooperation and support in the international forums. “We hope that during this term more contribution will be made to the global peace and stability in the world” he said.

Meanwhile a ceremony in the memory of late Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi was held at a local hotel in Islamabad. Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam in a statement issued on social media said that visiting Pakistan, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi was warmly welcomed by the government and nation of Pakistan. At the end of a month, after his martyrdom, the government and nation of Pakistan expressed sympathy and condolences by attending in various ceremonies and standing firmly by the government and people of Iran. “I extend my sincere gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for all of their love and kindness” the Iranian ambassador said.
