Pakistan reports 20 deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported 20 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,508,504. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,173 on Sunday. So far 1,441,528 patients have recovered in the country. So far 124,309,711 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 510,878 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 96,218,183 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 389,409 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 209,438,557 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 922, 218 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. So far 4,093,786 booster dozes of vaccine have been administered in the country. Meanwhile during the last 24 hours 73,278 dozes of booster vaccine have been administered in the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 2.11 percent on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 847 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 95.6 percent. During the last 24 hours 1,236 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 1,113 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 36,803 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 7,510 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 22,667 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 5,302 in Punjab, 598 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 86 in Balochistan, 462 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 178 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 2 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 1 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 13,487 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 8,067 in Sindh, 6,246 in KP, 1,011 in Islamabad, 787 in Azad Kashmir, 375 in Balochistan, and 190 in GB.

Furthermore 567,309 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 501, 108 in Punjab, 216,051 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 134,292 in Islamabad, 35,325 in Balochistan, 42,942 in Azad Kashmir and 11,473 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 26,393,595 coronavirus tests and 40,127 in the last 24 hours.

So far 536,575 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 482,309 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 202,295 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 132,683 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 34,864 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 41,697 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 11,105 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
