Alkhidmat Foundation is providing technical education to female & male prisoners in jails: Syed Ehsanullah Waqas

LAHORE, May 18, (SABAH):  Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has provided 5,000 lunch boxes of food and bottles of water to the relevant authorities for deserving prisoners in the prisons of Punjab. 

Vice Presidents Alkhidmat Foundation Ehsanullah Waqas, Zikrullah Mujahid, IG Prisons Mian Farooq Nazir and other organizational and government officials participated.

According to the details, the purpose of this aid was to provide relief to the prisoners who are hungry and thirsty during the journey from the jails to the courts for the courts hearing and during the court hearing. While appreciating the work of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Mian Farooq Nazir expressed the commitment of further cooperation to increase the welfare. He said that these efforts create a positive attitude among the prisoners. He said they are grateful to Alkhidmat Foundation which is assisting us in making the prisoners useful members of the society. 

Syed Ehsanullah Waqas said Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan plays its role in providing facilities in prison barracks in addition to provision of utensils, beds and other equipment for the welfare of prisoners. Education and training programs for female and male prisoners are also ongoing in various prisons of Pakistan. There are sewing centers for women and computer centers for the youth. During Ramzan, aftaar are organized and gifts are given on eid. 

Zikrullah Mujahid said that the Alkhidmat Foundation is taking steps for the welfare of prisoners in prisons along with services in other fields under the social services program. Proper care and attention will help these prisoners to come out of the world of crime and become useful members of society.
