MUZAFFARABAD, May 15 (SABAH): President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has ordered establishment of fully functional Kashmir Studies Institute in each university of Azad Kashmir to highlight various aspects of Kashmir culture and Kashmir dispute to the outside world.
His direction came during a meeting with him by Secretary General of Kashmir-American Awareness Forum Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, the world renowned Kashmiris rights movement leader. Present on the occasion were Chairman Higher Education Commission of Pakistan Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed and Vice-Chancellors of AJK universities Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaleem Abbasi, Brigadier (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Yunis Javed, Dr. Zakriya Zakir, Dr. Abdul Hameed, Dr. Rehmat Ali and other top educationists.
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai recalling the Kashmir dispute projection at the international level by AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry paid him rich tributes for his untiring role. Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai reiterated implementation of Kashmir dispute United Nations resolutions to restitute Kashmiris right to self-determination. He urged world human rights fora to take serious notice of massive human rights violations being resorted to by the Indian occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry recounted a wide range of atrocities being committed by India against the people of occupied Kashmir. In this connection he referred to the oppressive activities of over one million Indian occupation forces in IIOJK and said that India was committing terrorism not only in Held Kashmir but was allegedly involved in killing of a Sikh leader in Canada. This, he said, shows India has exported its home made terrorism abroad for revenge killings of its political opponents.
Other Kashmir movement leaders present on the occasion included Sardar Zulfikar Roshan, Dr. Waleed Rasool, Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Khan, Presidential Affairs Secretary Sardar Idrees Abbasi and others.
