Hafiz Naeemur Rehman asks CJP to take suo moto notice against what happened in general elections in the name of form 47s

KARACHI, May 14 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has demanded of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice against what happened in the general elections in the name of form 47s, in order to prevent chaos and anarchy.

The JI supreme leader expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi Headquarters, on Monday, during his visit to the mega city. Dubbing it a political volcano, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the Azad Jammu and Kashmir like situation can be erupted across Pakistan, if the unrest over form 47 is not addressed.

On the occasion, he said the chief justice knows it very well that the form 45 is a sacred constitutional document and the CJP should take notice over what happened in the general elections. He said that all the stakeholders of the state should retreat to their constitutional positions. This is the only way forward for the country, he said. The JI supremo made it clear that the “advanced engineering” of the general elections was the worst kind of rigging and it was lethal for the democratic process.

Talking about the JI’s strategy towards the prevailing situation, he said that a mass movement by the public is the only best available option to rectify the state of affairs. He added that the JI leadership was contemplating over a mass mobilization movement to address the issue.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the JI will unite the nation to rise a collective voice for rights and any attempt to suppress the voice will not be tolerated. On the occasion, he directed the JI Karachi chapter to take the issue of flawed census to the judiciary as the issue provides basis for all kind of systematic injustice to Karachi and Karachiites.

Talking about the current affairs, he expressed solidarity with the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and said that the JI supports the just demands of the people. However, he made it clear that any misdeeds by some miscreants could not be supported in any circumstances.

Talking about the issues of farmers in Punjab, he said that the JI will take out a big march on May 16 in protest against the government’s policies. He said that there was an acute unrest among the farmers community in Punjab as the government refused to buy the wheat after unnecessarily importing wheat in large amounts. He added that millions of dollars were spent to facilitate a mafia so they can mint money.

The same issue is looming large over the Sindh province, he said, adding that small scale farmers are being crushed across the country.

He highlighted the lack of political will by the Pakistan People Party government in Sindh against robbers gangs in riverine areas and demanded the authorities to get the people of Sindh rid of the cruel elements.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the JI is taking out a big march on May 19 in Peshawar to express solidarity with Palestinians. He said that the JI will take further the cause of Palestine and the local issues side by side. He added that the JI will announce it’s further course of action on the issue of Palestine at the march.
