President Alkhidmat Foundation Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman inaugurates Alkhidmat Orphan Aghosh Home in Rashidabad, Sindh

KARACHI, May 14 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman has inaugurated Alkhidmat Orphan Aghosh Home in Rashidabad, Sindh.

Alkhidmat Orphan Aghosh Home consists of 12 canals and can accommodate 168 orphan children. During the current month, joining of 40 more children, number of residential children will reach to 112 who belong to Tando Allahyar, Hayderabad, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar and Umarkot. 

 

Motif of establishing Alkhidmat Orphan Aghosh Home is to provide education, health and other facilities to orphan children while giving them moral training and self-confidence so that they become a useful asset for Pakistan and humanities.

Chairman Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib, Central Vice President Ejazullah Khan, National Director Aghosh Homes Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik, Regional President Sindh Dr Syed Tabbasum Jafri, Founder Rasheedabad Memorial Welfare Air Commodore (retd) Shabir Ahmed Khan, Air Commodore (retd) Tayyub Naeem Akhtar, former senator Dr Raheela Magsi, distinguished personalities from several walks of life and courageous children participated in the dignified inaugural ceremony.

Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that first Aghosh Home was inaugurated in Attock for the children who became orphan during the earthquake of 2005, adding then these Aghosh Homes were spread across the country. At present, 22 Aghosh Homes Centres are functional whereas eight Aghosh Homes are under construction. In Gaziantep Turkey, under Alkhidmat Foundation, Aghosh is working for the orphan children of Syria whereas in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, construction of Alkhidmat Aghosh is underway.

He said that at present in Pakistan, more than 44 lac children are orphans of whom half of them are deserving as they have no basic facilities like education, health and food.  He said at first Alkhidmat thought the sponsorship of 5000 orphan children but with assistance of Almighty Allah and philanthropists, they are spending 2.50 billion rupees on sponsorship of 30000 children. He said they would continue mission of service in Pakistan for deserving sections of society in education, health and other fields.
