Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai emphasizes the enduring support of the Pakistani people for Kashmiris
ISLAMABAD , May 12 (SABAH): Renowned ambassador of the Kashmir Freedom Movement and Secretary General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum in Washington, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, emphasized the enduring support of the Pakistani people for Kashmiris, asserting that such backing prevents the Kashmir issue from being sidelined. He highlighted that the issue persists through the sacrifices made by individuals.
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai underscored Pakistan’s pivotal role as the center of hope for Kashmiris, stressing the necessity for robust lobbying efforts on the global stage to address India’s grave actions. He emphasized the imperative of informing the world about the inhumane actions of Indian authorities.
These sentiments were expressed by Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai during a dinner event hosted by Shafiq Butt, Business leader from Rawalpindi, Islamabad.

Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai emphasized the vigorous representation of Kashmiri interests in international forums and drew parallels with instances of human rights violations in other regions, urging external intervention where necessary. He lamented the silence of major powers and the United Nations on the atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai reiterated his call for the international community to intervene against the illegal and immoral actions of the Indian government in Occupied Kashmir. He condemned India’s policy of targeted killings, which contravenes international human rights law and the Geneva Convention.
Muhammad Ghalib, President of Tehreek Kashmir Europe, said that we stand united with the people of Occupied Kashmir, advocating for their inherent rights of self-determination and autonomy, devoid of external influence or interference.
Raja Faheem Kayani, President of Tehreek Kashmir UK, expressed unwavering solidarity with Occupied Kashmir, underscoring the imperative of safeguarding their fundamental rights to self-determination and autonomy, free from external meddling or coercion.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Senior Leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement, underscored the gravity of the Kashmir dispute, labeling it a potential nuclear flashpoint. He advocated for a Kashmir-centric approach in Pakistan’s foreign policy.
Bhat further highlighted the current incarceration of all Hurriyat leadership, emphasizing the urgent responsibility of both the Base Camp and the diaspora to advance the mission of Kashmiri freedom until its fruition. He emphasized the shared identity between the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan, stressing the need for collaborative efforts towards Kashmir’s liberation. Quoting Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he reiterated that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.Warning against the perilous consequences of global silence on the Kashmir issue, Bhat urged for a swift and peaceful resolution to avert broader instability.
Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir, pledges to bolster the Kashmir freedom movement through political and diplomatic channels, ensuring the realization of martyrs’ aspirations for Kashmir’s liberation from Indian occupation.
Shafiq Ahmed Butt, the event’s host, announced plans for a forthcoming major event on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, inviting key stakeholders to participate.
