Liaqat Baloch expresses concern over Dr. Muhammad Badie’s illness & distressing condition
LAHORE, Feb 21 (SABAH): Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami, President of Standing Committee on National, Political Affairs, expressed grief and concern over the illness and distressing condition of Dr. Muhammad Badie, the Muslim Brotherhood leader, during his long imprisonment, and said that Murshid-e Aam should be released immediately. Egypt’s 80-year-old national leader should be provided with all medical facilities.
He said that all the allegations against Dr. Badie are false, he is being subjected to the worst torture. International justice organizations, human rights organizations put pressure on the Egyptian government for the basic human rights of the senior political leader.
Liaqat Baloch said that thousands of innocent political workers and prisoners of conscience have long endured unjust prisons during Egypt’s military dictatorship. The Muslim Brotherhood is known globally as a peaceful Muslim party. Restore the democratic rights of the Egyptian people.
Addressing a public meeting in Kalar Kahar (Chakwal), Liaqat Baloch said that the Imran Khan government has shattered the hopes of the people. The government is incompetent, unqualified and failed but in its lust for power it is doing irreparable damage to the country and the nation. Inflation, unemployment, skyrocketing production costs are unbearable. The government has become unpopular.
Baloch said that people are becoming mentally ill and suffering from suicide thinking. Young people, women, aspiring people for change and state institutions are also disappointed with the performance of Imran Khan government. The PPP and the Muslim League have destroyed the country with the same style of governance. Imran Khan has added double destruction by continuing the same style of governance.
Liaqat Baloch while talking to reporters at the Waleema ceremony of young leader Syed Sarmad in Rawalpindi said that no-confidence is the constitutional, democratic right of the opposition. The PDM and the PPP are still scaling up the no-confidence motion. Political phenomena will be clear only after the end of winter exercises.
He said that the constitution, democracy and the right to vote require Imran Khan to quit, resign and go to the people for a new mandate. Jamaat-e-Islami will play a decisive role in the no-confidence motion. One vote will weigh heavily on everyone.
