We would work & keep on working & our work will speak: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE, April 22 (SABAH): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has felicitated all Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates on their victory in by-elections and thanked people for exercising their right to vote in favour of PML-N.

In a statement, Maryam Nawaz said that the success of PML-N candidates for National and Provincial Assemblies reflects people’s confidence in PML-N policies.

She said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is the real representative party of people. She said that people are aware of the fact that Nawaz Sharif’s leadership is must for their development. She said that nation’s development and service of people is only job of the PML-N, adding Punjab will be further developed. She said that journey of development will speed up every day.

Maryam Nawaz said that they would work and keep on working and their work will speak. She also appreciated the efforts of administration, police and other institutions for peaceful conduct of elections.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of “Earth Day 2024” she said if earth was destroyed then all human beings and animals will not be spared. Ahead of Earth Day, the government of Punjab has started implementation on environment friendly grand plan, she said and added today Earth Day is being celebrated at division and district level.

She said no to plastic drive has also been initiated. She said that historical actions of making Punjab green, smog free and making human health better. She said that every citizen by planting trees and by not using plastic bags can increase life of the earth.

She said through electric buses, environment friendly fuel, modern technology and the use of machinery the environment issues would be resolved. She said restriction would be imposed from June 5 on the use of polythene bags. On earth day, No to Plastic messages are being delivered, she added. She said special drive has begun on national and social media in this regard.

Maryam Nawaz appealed the shopkeepers, shopping malls, restaurants and all the people to assist the drive of not using the plastic bags. She also stressed the people to participate in making human health better and ending smog. She urged the citizens and media to take up human health issues for making the drive a success.
