Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb highlights the govt’s dedication to attracting both foreign & domestic investments


WASHINGTON, April 15 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb has underscored the government’s commitment to improving the business climate in Pakistan.

Talking to a delegation of the US Pakistan Business Council in Washington DC, Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted the government’s dedication to attracting both foreign and domestic investments in key sectors, including agriculture, IT, mines and minerals and energy.

Finance Minister is in USA to participate in the spring meetings of IMF and World Bank. He is to meet IMF and World Bank officials besides representatives of international media and think tank.

Meanwhile Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a productive meeting with former President of the Maldives and Secretary-General Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) Mohamed Nasheed in Washington DC on Monday. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan was also present on the occasion.

The Minister highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change, role played by the country in the establishment of Loss and Damage Fund during COP 28 and way forward to address climate challenges in vulnerable countries.
