Kashmir-Palestine Unity Conference hosted by Abdul Rasheed Turabi calls for action against Israeli Oppression

ISLAMABAD: A conference advocating for unity between Kashmir and Palestine was held, hosted by Abdul Rasheed Turabi.

The event saw the participation of prominent figures such as Dr. Khalid Qadumi, former Prime Ministers Sardar Atiq Ahmed and Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Asif Luqman Qazi, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Raja Khalid Mahmood Khan.

The conference strongly condemned the widespread killings and atrocities against Palestinians by the Zionist regime of Israel. It called for immediate cessation of hostilities in accordance with international agreements and urged punitive measures against Israeli war criminals, including economic and diplomatic sanctions. Furthermore, the conference demanded the severance of diplomatic ties with Israel by countries maintaining such relations, immediate relief for Gaza and Palestine, and practical support for Palestinian resistance fighters.

In addition, it stressed the need for global solidarity in resolving longstanding issues like Palestine and Kashmir, expressing regret over the failure of the United Nations and other international organizations in achieving peace and stability. Despite Israel’s worst state-sponsored terrorism, the conference applauded the steadfastness of Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, highlighting the importance of unity and cooperation in their struggle.

The conference also commended historic protest movements against Israeli aggression in various countries, including Europe, the United States, and elsewhere, expressing hope for a peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels.

Moreover, it lauded Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the aspirations of the Palestinian people, urging the government to play a leadership role as the only nuclear power in the Muslim world.
