PTI, PML-N & PPP came into power with backing of establishment & their fight is for protection self-interests: Sirajul Haq

MARDAN, Feb 15 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said the PTI, the PML-N and the PPP came into power with the backing of the establishment and their fight is for the protection self-interests.

Addressing a gathering in a Jamia Tafheemul Quran Mardan, Sirajul Haq said the each of the three parties which ruled over country for years was now again in search of the establishment’s support to remain in power. The solution to the country’s problems, he said, lied in the free and fair elections. There was need to end the culture of using heaps of wealth and other illegal methods in the elections, he said, adding the candidates influenced the system instead of voters in the polls. The electoral reforms were the need of the time and they should be introduced with the consensus of the political parties. The recently introduced so-called reforms by the PTI, he said, were instead a pre-poll rigging agenda of the ruling party through the electronic voting machines.

Sirajul Haq said the Imran Khan government desperately failed to provide any relief to the masses in three and half years. The government, he said, could not bring down inflation and it had not introduced any plan to provide jobs to millions of jobless youths. He said the mafias were sitting around the prime minister and they involved in every scandal from sugar crisis to flour shortages appeared in past couple of years. The mafias, he said, made billions of rupees through artificial scandals and were roaming free. The Panama Leaks and Pandora Papers were full of the stories of corruption and loot of Pakistan’s ruling elite but no fruitful inquiry was conducted against those who stashed billions of rupees through illegal means, he said, appealing the Supreme Court to take action against the people involved in international scandals.

Sirajul Haq said the country could go ahead with the establishment of rule of law and strengthening justice system. He said the people should vote for the honest and eligible candidates in the elections. He said the Islam provided solution to the problems of mankind. He said unity of Ummah was the need of the hour.
