Liaqat Baloch strongly condemns incident of burning of mentally handicapped non-Muslims in Khanewal after torture
LAHORE, Feb 15 (SABAH): Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council, has strongly condemned the incident of burning of mentally handicapped non-Muslims in Talma (Khanewal) after torture and said that upholding the law and the worst inhumane acts are un-Islamic, unconstitutional, illegal and inhumane. Such incidents are the downfall of society and the worst stain. The people’s trust in law and judiciary has eroded. There is no justice in society. Criminals are released under external pressure. State institutions and government are equally responsible for the horrific human tragedy. Immediate action is needed to enforce the law and justice. The echo of the Sialkot tragedy is not over yet and the second tragic incident has brought Pakistan into disrepute globally.
Liaqat Baloch congratulated Azizullah Khan on his election victory for Sarai Norang mayorship of Lakki Marwat tehsil. The thrilling political nexus of 5 parties failed, illegal, illegitimate re-polls were held and despite alliance to defeat Jamaat-e-Islami, the success of Jamaat-e-Islami and the Scales is a great victory in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Inshallah, Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will achieve great success in the second round of local body elections. The Scales will be the symbol of truth and justice.
Talking to reporters, Liaqat Baloch said that after 42 months, the failures, compulsions and incompetence of the team of Imran Sarkar are becoming apparent on Prime Minister Imran Khan. It was clear from day one that constitutional amendments would require a two-thirds majority, but for the solution of public problems, the elimination of economic crises, the implementation of the law of accountability, not a two-thirds majority, but only implementation of the existing laws is needed. The Imran Khan government has done irreparable damage to democracy, the parliamentary constitutional system, the relationship between the federation and the provinces. The PTI’s incompetent and unqualified government is responsible for inflation, unemployment, and the IMF’s lethal conditions. For the protection of the constitution, judiciary and democratic process, it is now imperative that the incompetent government in the country be eliminated and a new mandate be taken from the people.
