Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan sends Ramadan food package & modern ambulance for 15,000 families affected by Gaza war
ISMAILIA, EGYPT, March 12 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has sent Ramadan food package and state-of-the-art ambulance for 15,000 families affected by Gaza war.
While transporting relief luggage through Rafa border from Ismailia, Egypt, Central President Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman told that in this convoy of Alkhidmat, 400 ton of luggage has been sent through 20 big trailers. He said a state-of-the-art ambulance has also been sent.
He said that 2,200,000 individuals affected from the Gaza war are the test for the entire world especially Muslims. He said that entire team of Alkhidmat Foundation and its volunteers are busy for providing relief to the war stricken sisters and brothers. Alkhidmat Foundation has carried out activities in Gaza valuing Rs 1.7 billion rupees.
He said with the cooperation of Turk and Palestine institutions, Alkhidmat has established a camp office and warehouse in Cairo from where aid luggage is continuously being transported to Gaza. For transporting aid luggage from Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation with the support of NDMA has started to transport luggage through air cargo and sea route, he said.
Till now five air kargo Arash, one Jordan and from sea route medicines, cooked meal, tents, baby kits, hygiene kits and winter packages have been sent, he noted. Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that during the different phases, 250 ton of medicines were sent for the injured of Gaza whereas in view of medical emergency in Gaza, Alkhidmat Foundation has completed working of field hospital. After obtaining permission, doctors of Alkhidmat Foundation will depart for Gaza, he added.
