Two more independent members join PML-N, making it majority party of Balochistan
LAHORE, Feb 20 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) got two more seats from Balochistan Assembly. Two independent members Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan joined PML-N. Resultantly, PML-N became majority party of Balochistan.
Regarding joining PML-N, two members of assembly who got victory from constituencies PB-41 and PB-51 held meeting with President of PML-N Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. During the meeting, party provincial president Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail and party leader Jamal Shah Kakar were also present.
After joining these two members, PML-N has now 12 members in Balochistan Assembly. Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan and further said that they have played their role in the stability of the country which is praiseworthy.
He further said that the country needed stability but not anarchy. He said that problems could not be resolved by arousing disputes but by developing consensus and added Balochistan’s development is required for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The newly-elected members congratulated Shehbaz Sharif for being nominated as the prime minister of the country.
Afterwards, Shehbaz Sharif reached Islamabad from Lahore. According to sources, he reached Islamabad through a private aeroplane. The sources said that Shehbaz Sharif will hold political meetings in Islamabad. Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to hold meeting with Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
