German Ambassador Bernhard Schlagheck meets Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Feb 09 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch was met by German Ambassador Bernhard Schlagheck. Pak-German relations, strategy of Jamaat-e-Islami, situation in the country, Islamophobia, Kashmir, Afghanistan and activities of Qadianis in Europe were discussed. Muhammad Asghar, Abdul Qaddos Minhas, Samiul Haq Sherpao were present on the occasion.

Liaqat Baloch called on Europe to change its failed view of Muslims and Islamic countries. After the defeat of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan, the strategy of military domination, spread of terrorism and promotion of hatred has failed. Human beings need mutual respect and tolerance. In Occupied Kashmir, Indian extremists and fascists are oppressing 1.5 crore people. The neutrality of the international community, silence is giving birth to human tragedies. Recognize the victory of the Taliban, the Afghan people in Afghanistan. The Afghan government should be recognized. Unjustified sanctions and economic bans will lead to protracted war and instability. Stop sponsoring terrorist groups.

Addressing the Central Consultative Workshop, Liaqat Baloch said that the country’s major political and ruling parties have violated democratic, constitutional and parliamentary values apart from lust for power, fear and self-interest. Domination of so-called electables and compromise with the Establishment has made Pakistan a victim of uncertainty and instability. The people are suffering from social, societal and psychological crises due to inflation, unemployment, price hike of electricity, gas, petrol and other necessities. Prime Minister Imran Khan has failed on every front. That is why the failed ruling parties of the past are again seducing the people. Single vote of Jamaat-e-Islam in the National Assembly will be decisive in the no-confidence motion.

Liaqat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami is in favor of the movement to overthrow the failed government within the ambit of the constitution, but the agenda of the opposition parties is still blurred and hidden behind curtains. The sit-ins of Jamaat-e-Islami across the country will awaken and organize the people. Public confidence will be restored.

Liaqat Baloch offered condolences on the demise of renowned intellectual, writer, columnist, former member National Assembly Bushra Rehman, death of senior security officer of Punjab Assembly Mian Nasir Masood and death of wife of former IG Police Haji Habib-ur-Rehman. May Allah forgive the deceased, Ameen! Liaqat Baloch also visited the Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haideri at PIMS Hospital Islamabad.
