Sacrifices of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat & Muhammad Afzal Guru will certainly bring fruits: Syed Salahuddin


MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 08 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed while paying rich tribute to Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru has said that their sacrifices will certainly bring fruits and dawn of freedom will arise. He said that 8th February 2013 and 11th February 1984 are two days of the history of the Jammu and Kashmir when on committing crime of demanding freedom they were hanged at the Tihar jail and then were buried inside the boundary of the jail, adding that instead of this the freedom struggle is still continuing with full force.

This was stated by Syed Salahiddin Ahmed while addressing the high level meeting of the United Jihad Council on Tuesday. He said that on 11th February 1984, Muhammad Maqbool Bhat was hanged while implementing a disputed verdict of the Indian court; meanwhile on 8th February 2013, to make happy the Hindus, Muhammad Afzal Guru was hanged while implementing the disputed verdict of the Indian Supreme Court.

He said that the Indian leadership had thought that after the hanging of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru the freedom lovers will become weaken but the history has witnessed that these martyrdoms gave birth to thousands of Maqbool and Afzal and instead of brutal use of force by the oppressor enemy could not suppress the freedom struggle and with the Blessings of Almighty Allah will not do so. He said that the oppressor in sheer disappointment has started cheap tactics.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has appealed from the Pakistani leadership to not limit their role to political and diplomatic support but being the basic party in the dispute should provide solid support to Kashmiri freedom fighters and Kashmiri masses on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC). He said that if the matters will remain limited to politics and diplomacy then human tragedy could occur in Kashmir, which will have severe consequences in every aspect.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed while presenting rich tribute to the martyrs of the current week and expressed the resolve that the dawn of freedom of Kashmir will certainly arise in the result of the sacred blood of the martyrs. During the meeting prayer was offered for higher status in heaven for Shahedd Mabqool Bhat, Muhammad Afzal Guru and other martyrs of the Kashmir and it was pledged that the freedom struggle of Kashmir will continue at every front.
