Pakistan will continue to raise voice for the Kashmiris at every forum of the world: Mumtaz Zahra Baloch
ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (SABAH): Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that Pakistan will continue to raise voice for the Kashmiris at every forum of the world. She said that it is a reality that the international community considers Kashmir dispute a dispute and an international issue. She said that there is not a single country in the world which accepts the Indian stance regarding Kashmir dispute.
This was stated by Mumtaz Zahra Baloch while talking to media persons on the occasion of the rally carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day from Foreign Office to D-Chowk in Islamabad on Monday.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that even today no country of the world considers Kashmir as integral part of India, adding that every country considers Kashmir as disputed territory, which is the success of the Kashmiris. FO Spokesperson said that it is our effort that the Kashmiris should be given their right to self-determination, adding that all the countries of the world should pressurize India for giving Kashmiris their right. She said that Kashmir dispute is an international issue, which is acknowledged by the United Nations. She said that Pakistan always remained standing with Kashmiris and will continue to do so in future also and will continue to raise voice in favour of Kashmiris at every forum of the world.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the steps taken by India on 5th August 2019 regarding Kashmir are illegal and they have no place in international law. She said that Indian government tried to give these steps legal cover while securing the verdict from Indian Supreme Court but no one in the world accepted it.
She said that Pakistan raises voice for Kashmir at every forum, adding that Pakistani diplomats have raised the Kashmir issue at United Nations (UN), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other forums and will continue to do so in future also.
Meanwhile on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day a walk was held at the Constitution Avenue, Islamabad. Officials of the Foreign Office, led by Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi participated in large numbers to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to its Kashmiri brothers and sister and calls for the realization of their just right to self-determination as enshrined in the UN Charter and as guaranteed in the relevant UN Security Council and OIC Resolutions.
