Pak HC to Bangladesh & Bhutan Syed Ahmed Maroof reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of IIOJK


DHAKA, Feb 05 (SABAH): High Commission for Pakistan to Bangladesh today organized an event to observe “Kashmir Solidarity Day.”

Members of Pakistani diaspora, representatives of civil society and local journalists attended the event. Kashmiris and Pakistanis around the world commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day every year on February 5 to express support for the just struggle of the people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The messages of the leadership of Pakistan including the President, the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister were read out on the occasion.

In their messages, President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar paid rich tributes to the brave Kashmiri people for their steadfast resistance against India’s unlawful occupation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching support to them until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

In his concluding remarks, High Commissioner for Pakistan to Bangladesh and Bhutan, Syed Ahmed Maroof reiterated the statements of the Pakistani leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of IIOJK. Underlining Pakistan’s official stance on the Kashmir dispute, the High Commissioner said that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice for the people of IIOJK at every forum and extend its unstinted moral, diplomatic and political support for their just cause.
