Govt & the people of Pakistan deeply saddened at the passing of President Hage G. Geingob of Namibia: FO Spokesperson

ISLAMABAD, Feb 04 (SABAH): The Government and the people of Pakistan are deeply saddened at the passing of President Hage G. Geingob of Namibia.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch o n Sunday, President Geingob was a visionary statesman, a leading icon of the liberation struggle of Namibia and the chief architect of the Constitution of Namibia.

She said that President Geingob will always be remembered for his services to the Namibian nation and his distinguished legacy as a leader of the Global South.

“Our heartfelt condolences to President Geingob’s family and the people of Namibia” she said.

Meanwhile President Dr. Arif Alvi in statement expressed heartfelt condolences at the sad demise of President Hage G. Geingob of Namibia. In a statement President Alvi said that President Geingob was a distinguished statesman and an icon of the liberation struggle of Namibia. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Namibia and the family of the Late President, he said.
