Leaders of the tested parties have no narrative to sell to the people in their election campaigns: Sirajul Haq

DIR LOWER, Jan 24 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said the leaders of the tested parties have no narrative to sell to the people in their election campaigns.

They, Sirajul Haq added while addressing an election rally in Lower Dir on Wednesday, have nothing to showcase the performances of their past governments. The PPP, the PML-N and the PTI, he said, are the sides of the same coin. Therefore, he said, the people particularly the youth of the country should not put trust in their claims in the ongoing elections. “Choose the JI [Jamaat-e-Islami] on February 8 and we guarantee you a bright and corruption-free Pakistan.”

Sirajul Haq said the former ruling parties utilized the nation’s resources for their benefit, depriving the masses of basic facilities. It was due to their policies, he said, that the economy and the institutions weakened and inflation and unemployment went rampant.  Today, he said, the country’s economy was far behind as compared to its neighbours.

He said the youth must put the nail in the coffin of a corrupt system with the power of the vote on polling day. He held the former rulers equally responsible for the toxic polarization that has plagued the nation for years.

Sirajul Haq said the JI would make the nation united and build a strong Pakistan after coming into power. The JI, he said, would ensure full implementation of its revolutionary election manifesto if voted to power.

He vowed that the JI would establish women’s universities in each division and provide jobs to unemployed youth based on merit. He said the JI would introduce an interest-free economy and ensure fair distribution of resources. He said the former rulers kept the status quo intact and they would never bring about any change if again elected to power.
