Murtaza Solangi reaffirms the commitment to fulfill all requirements of ECP to ensure free, fair & transparent elections in the country


ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (SABAH): Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has reaffirmed the commitment to fulfill all requirements of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), encompassing financial, administrative, and security aspects, to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in the country.

In an interview with the state-run TV channel, Murtaza Solangi emphasized that state media, including Radio Pakistan and PTV, are providing equal coverage to the electioneering of all political parties.

The Minister mentioned that special programs related to the forthcoming elections are being broadcast and aired by Radio Pakistan and PTV.

Murtaza Solangi highlighted that as state broadcasters, these institutions operate on the taxes of the people of Pakistan. Therefore, they are dedicated to presenting impartial and neutral programs, refraining from showing any inclination towards a particular political party.

Underlining the extensive outreach of Radio Pakistan across the country, he emphasized its potential to play a vital role in educating the public about general elections.
