No one would be allowed to sell off the mandate of Karachi to notables: Hafiz Naeemur Rehaman


KARACHI, Jan 14 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehaman has inaugurated two parks in Gulshan Iqbal Town. With efforts of Town Chairman Dr. Fawad, Vice Chairman Ibrahim Siddiqui and the entire team, two parks in Gulshan Iqbal Block-6 and Block-5 have been opened for the people after full renovation.

Labour Movement senior leader and former central president NLF Professor Shafi Malik was present on the occasion. A park was also attributed to him. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi and candidate for NA-236 Dr. Osama Rzi, candidate for PS-99 Younas Barai, Chairman Gulshan Iqbal Town Dr. Fawad Ahmed, Vice Town Chairamn Ibrahim Siddiqui, Secretary Information Zahid Askari, UC Chairman Misbakhulhuda Siddiqui, Majid Ali and other elected representatives were also present on the occasion.

In Gaza Park, along with installing bungee jumping; plantation, walking track and other steps of beatification were also done.  In the park, women fair was also held. Stalls were established where books and edibles were displayed. In the Shafi Park, a central fountain was installed. In the park there are jogging tracks, benches and swings for the children. Engr. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also planted a sapling.

Afterwards while talking to media persons, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that no one would be allowed to sell off the mandate of Karachi to notables. He said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) remained partner for 35 years, during the period Karachi was badly ignored. He said future of children became unsafe and added now such period would not be allowed to come back again.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman maintained that they would safeguard mandate of Karachi on February 8. Now onward one who will give rights to the citizens of the city, he would be allowed to run the government of Sindh. He said in nine towns of Karachi, chairmen of Jamaat-e-Islami are working beyond their jurisdiction. During this week, further seven parks would be completed. It is promise with the people that pleasures of the city would be restored, he said and added sorting out issues of the citizens is their utmost priority.
