Former rulers didn’t fulfill promises made with merged tribal areas: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE, Jan 11 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that former rulers didn’t fulfill promises made with the merged tribal areas.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the public gathering at tehsil Khall of Lower Dir. Candidate for provincial assembly Sahibzada Yaqoob and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Maulana Asadullah were also present on the occasion. He further said a country enriched with minerals, tourism and competent youth, there poverty is ruling everywhere.

Sirjaul Haq said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not given any share in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He further said no relief was given to KPK parts which were affected by floods and terrorism.

He said that the former rulers deprived KPK, adding the Centre dealt with the province like a step mother. “After coming into power, Jamaat-e-Islami will spend resources on the welfare of masses of the province. After establishing peace in the province, doors of prosperity and advancement would be opened. As a former finance minister of the province, I made it free of loans and set up examples of public service,” he added.

Sirajul Haq maintained during floods, thousands of workers of Jamaat-e-Islami remained busy in welfare activities which was recognized at international level. He stressed upon the people to use their right to vote in favour of Jamaat-e-Islami for peaceful KPK and establishment of an Islamic welfare State.

“Elections is a best opportunity for the nation to change its destiny. Jamaat-e-Islami wants a free, fair and transparent elections according to the schedule in the country. The Islamic countries should make collective measures for safeguarding Gaza. It is responsibility of the rulers to safeguard the masses of Palestine. During the four months, Zionist army crossed all the limits of cruelty and barbarism and there is no-one to stop them,” he said.

Sirajul Haq said after coming into power, Jamaat-e-Islami would establish system of Quran and Sunnah. Interest system would be banned and system of zakat and usher would be established, he said. He further said “Scale” is a symbol of peace, justice and advancement and appealed to people to select competent and honest leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami during the elections.
