Masood Sarfraz is one of the leaders of Kashmir Freedom Movement: Syed Salahuddin

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 03 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen Chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has said that Masood Sarfraz is one of the leaders of Kashmir Freedom Movement who directly confronted the enemy on the battlefield and conveyed the message to the occupying forces that Kashmir, on both sides of Line of Control (LoC), is a unit and the opinion of the people living in that unit must be respected and complied with in accordance with United Nations Resolutions.

According to a statement issued by Spokesman of United Jihad Council Syed Sadaqat Hussain, these views were expressed by Syed Salahuddin Ahmed while addressing a condolence meeting organized by United Jihad Council. Expressing condolences on the demise of the mother of renowned activist Masood Sarfaraz, he said that she not only dedicated herself to Masood Sarfaraz for the freedom movement but also continued to lead and patronize him till the last moments of her life.

Syed Salahuddin added that Masood Sarfraz was one of the leaders of Kashmir Freedom Movement who fought against the enemy directly in the battlefield and conveyed the message to the occupying forces that across Kashmir is a unity and the opinion of the people must be respected and given in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations. “Masood Sarfraz is the fearless, selfless and courageous leader of this movement and the key role of the late mother is behind this courageous selflessness and courage”, Syed Salahuddin added.

All the leaders of the Jihad Council who were present at the meeting paid rich tributes to the late and said that they share in the grief of Masood Sarfaraz and his family. At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the heavenly abode, elevation of the deceased and for the bereaved.
