Those people who must be held accountable for their bad performance they are seeing dreams of the govt: Sirajul Haq
LAHORE, Dec 27 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that those people who must be held accountable for their bad performance they are seeing dreams of the government.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views while talking to different delegations at Mansoorah on Wednesday. He said the days of those people who made spurious status with corruption have been numbered as people are now well aware of the facts. He said that somnath of injustice will be destroyed on February 8.
He said now the masses should be given right to govern the country and added those political parties which don’t have democracy in them those parties don’t want a durable democratic system as their life is in the status-quo. Here parties come into existence while their manifesto and ideologies come into being afterwards, he added.
Sirajul Haq said Jamaat-e-Islami is a single political party wherein leadership is chosen transparently. Ahead of elections campaign, he said they gave revolutionary manifesto which aimed at making an Islamic welfare state. After coming into power, he said that they would ensure implementation on their manifesto.
He advised the people to use their right of vote in favour of Jamaat-e-Islami’s election symbol “scale” to get rid of inflation, corruption as well as establishment of peace. In the democratic century, it is shameful to impose feudalism and inheritance, he said.
“In the election campaigns, money use must be restricted and people should be given right to elect their own representatives. If democracy will be strengthened, the country would make advancement. The former rulers only looted the masses. All the country resources have been occupied by the rulers,” he said.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Consul General Mehran Movahhedfar called on Sirajul Haq at Mansoorah. On this occasion, Deputy Chief of the JI Liaqat Baloch was also present. During the meeting, they exchanged views on Pakistan-Iran relations and Kashmir and Gaza issues. They were of the view that Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan should jointly work for establishment of peace and tranquility in the region.
