Pakistan owes its existence to relentless democratic & peaceful political struggle of Quaid-e-Azam: Raja Pervez Ashraf

ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (SABAH): Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf in his message on the eve of 147th birth anniversary of the founding father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinna has said that Pakistan owes its existence to untiring and relentless democratic and peaceful political struggle of Quaid-e-Azam.

Raja Pervez Ashraf said that Quaid-e-Azam led the Muslims of the subcontinent to realize the dream of a separate Nation i.e. Pakistan. “We need more than ever to emulate and follow the principles of peaceful struggle to lead Pakistan on the path of prosperity and growth.”

The Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has termed this day as a reminder for the whole nation that Quaid-e-Azam’s struggle for creation of this country was peaceful and democratic. He also said that the great Quaid never resorted to violence and unconstitutional ways to achieve his goal.

He also said that following Quaid’s principles of integrity and honesty are key to place Pakistan among developed nations of the world. He also said that this day holds special significance this year as Nation is gearing up to participate in upcoming elections as their participation is pivotal for continuity of democratic process. He also expressed his hope this election would prove a turning point in the democratic struggle of the nation.

The Speaker also said that the Quaid’s vision of pluralistic society need to be followed in letter and spirit. He also said that Quaid always emphasized for prioritizing women and youth to be an essential part of socio-economic stream of society. He said that at present Pakistan is blessed to have youth as major chunk of our population and youth needs to be upskilled to transform their skills for economic stability of nation.
