Christmas gifts, ration packages distributed among 1500 deserving Christian families under Alkhidmat Foundation in Lahore

Zikrullah Mujahid congratulates Christian community on occasion of Christmas

LAHORE, Dec 21 (SABAH): Christmas gifts and ration packages were distributed among 1500 deserving Christian families under Alkhidmat Foundation in Lahore.

Motif behind celebrating this ceremony is to participate in the pleasures of Christian families, sensitize them about their safety, solidarity among religions and to propagate positive traditions.

On this occasion, Vice President of Alkhidmat Foundation Zikrullah Mujahid, Acting President of Alkhidmat Lahore Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem, Christian leader Bishop M M Waqas, office-bearers of Alkhidmat Foundation and people from all walks of life were present.

Addressing on the occasion, Zikrullah Mujahid congratulated Christian community on the occasion of Christmas and added celebrating such occasions is right of every human being. It is our responsibility being a nation to take care of such people who could not join and celebrate such occasions, he added.

He went on to say the way Alkhidmat Foundation distributes gifts among deserving people on the occasions of eids, the same way it distributes gifts on the occasion of Diwali and Christmas. He said that religious rivalry should be discouraged for establishing peace in the society and religious harmony should be promoted.

On the occasion Syed Ihsanullah Waqas told the participants that Alkhidmat Foundation is providing its services without any discrimination. This is the reason that during untoward situations, rescue and relief activities, providing clean drinking water and sponsoring the orphans, Alkhidmat Foundation remains active in providing its services, he added.
