Judges wore garlands to those who broke Constitution: Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE, Dec 19 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the selected one created falsehood, awkwardness and rigging.
Addressing 13th Parliamentary Board meeting, Nawaz Sharif said, “We on our own took the country to this stage. Pakistan was not damaged by the United States or India but we are responsible for it. Judges wore garlands to those who broke Constitution. We were kept in jails through the former judges and current judges turn down all those case during some hearings.”
“About Maryam Nawaz and me it was said they should not be allowed to come out of jails otherwise all our efforts will go waste,” he noted. He said, “We had ended load-shedding in the last days of 2016. We eradicated terrorism from the country. Foreign reserves were in best situation during our government. The country’s development rate was taken to 6.2 percent. Rate of interest was on double digit which we took to 5.25 percent. Export refinancing was three percent. Exports were expanding. We said good bye to IMF but now the situation has totally changed.”
Nawaz Sharif further said terrorism has come back and added as the former chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took over, dollar prices highly increased while growth ended. “All had to be bowed down before IMF as its all conditions were fulfilled. There are skyrocketing prices of each and everything. These are facts which cannot be falsified,” he added.
Nawaz Sharif said, “We have been seeing for 70 years that Constitution is broken and the judges welcome who break the Constitution. All saw such decisions. If some wrong thing is happening it must be stopped by force otherwise take it up through tongue. If you cannot do both of these two options then consider some wrong thing bad in heart. We selected the third option. We were kept in jails through former judges and current judges ended all those cases during some hearings.”
The interviews of over 150 ticket aspirants from the Faisalabad Division were conducted by the party’s board on Tuesday.
