TCS revolutionizes logistics with introduction of electric bikes
ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (SABAH): TCS, Pakistan’s logistics giant, has taken a groundbreaking step towards green innovation by introducing electric bikes into its fleet. In an event held in Islamabad, 50 electric bikes were distributed among TCS riders.
Speaking at the occasion, Moin A. Malik, CEO of TCS, highlighted that TCS is the first logistics company in Pakistan to embrace electric bikes.
Initially deploying 50 electric bikes for riders, TCS plans to scale up and introduce 1,000 electric bikes nationwide. Moin A. Malik emphasized that this move not only contributes to reducing environmental pollution but also reflects TCS’s commitment to environmental conservation.
Ali Moeen, CEO of EZ Bikes, expressed optimism about reducing smog levels in Lahore through the introduction of electric vehicles. He stated that transportation is a major contributor to environmental pollution in Pakistan, and introducing electric vehicles can significantly mitigate this issue. The EZ Bike, with a range of 90 kilometers on a single charge and zero carbon emissions, was highlighted as a pivotal solution.
Moin A. Malik further stated that TCS’s adoption of electric bikes will not only save fuel but also provide the public with improved and environmentally friendly services. He emphasized that TCS aims to contribute to the growth of the electric vehicle market in Pakistan, inspiring other organizations to follow suit.
The EZ Bike, with a maximum speed of 65 kilometers per hour and a weight capacity of 200 kilograms, is designed for comfort and efficiency in logistics and delivery services. Financially, electric bikes are an optimal choice, reducing fuel expenses by 75%, thanks to zero carbon emissions.
