Five persons killed, 44 got injured in different traffic accidents due to intense fog in Punjab

BAHAWALPUR/BHAKKAR/SANGLA HILL/BAHAWALNAGAR, Dec 18 (SABAH): Five persons were killed, 44 got injured in different traffic accidents due to intense fog in Punjab.

In Bahawalpur district, a van collided with a truck on Chuna Wala Road near 160 Muradkay due to which four persons were killed and 13 got injured. According to rescue authorities, the van collided with the truck due to fog. The passenger van was going from Hasilpur to Chuna Wala when accident took place. The persons who got injured were shifted to hospital.

In district Bhakkar’s surrounding area Gohar Wala, a van collided with a trailer due to which a person was killed and another 15 got injured. According to rescue sources, three persons who got injured were in critical condition. Injured include children and women who have been shifted to hospital.

On the other side, in Punjab’s Sangla Hill area of Nankana Sahib district, a coaster due to over speeding overturned on Faisalabad Road. In the accident, 12 individuals including women got injured who were shifted to hospital.

In Punjab’s Bahawalnagar district, an over speeding car struck with a poll due to which four individuals including a women got injured. The injured persons were shifted to hospital for medical assistance.
